Our Story

BRED IN THE
FREE CITY

Chattanooga Brewing Co. was born from a simple belief: the best beer comes from a community that cares about what goes into it. We started in a garage with a 10-barrel system and a stubborn refusal to compromise on quality.

Today, our taproom on Frazier Avenue is a gathering place for neighbors, musicians, and anyone who believes a great pint is worth the wait. We source local ingredients when we can, brew with intention, and pour every session with the same energy we had on day one.

Our flagship IPA. Citrus-forward with a piney finish, brewed with local Appalachian honey. The one that started it all.

Ruby Red Stout - dark beer with rich head
SEASONAL

RUBY RED STOUT

7.2% ABV · 30 IBU

Dark as the Tennessee river at dusk. Roasted malt, hints of chocolate and cherry. Brewed with real raspberries from local farms.

Free City Lager - pale golden lager in a glass

4.8% ABV · 22 IBU

Clean, crisp, and dangerously drinkable. Our session lager is the perfect companion for a hot Chattanooga afternoon on the patio.

Ooltewah Wheat - hazy wheat beer
LIGHT

OOLTEWAH WHEAT

5.1% ABV · 18 IBU

Hazy and refreshing with notes of banana and clove. A German-style wheat ale that pairs perfectly with our food menu.

River City Sour - cloudy sour beer
SOUR

RIVER CITY SOUR

5.5% ABV · 8 IBU

Dry-hopped with Cascade and aged on peaches from Sequoyah Orchard. Tart, fruity, and unlike anything else on the menu.

Lookout Porter - dark porter beer
BOLD

LOOKOUT PORTER

6.2% ABV · 35 IBU

Full-bodied porter with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Named after the mountain that watches over our city. A winter favorite.
